Jessica Jesse is redefining the path to wellbeing by combining contemplative practice, science and fashion, through her company BuDhaGirl®.
Jessica believes that fashion is a powerful driver of behavior and that every day at every level we make fashion decisions that impact ourselves, our work, our family, and our world. She wants to teach others about the importance of internal motivation using fashion as a conduit, believing that a life filled with awareness and joy is one well lived.
Jessica’s 30-year career in high fashion led her to hold directorship positions as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. At various times she also had the privilege of working closely with fashion icons: Hubert de Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, Gianfranco Ferre, Gianni Versace, and many other notables. Her past career was the foundation for creating her current enterprise: BuDhaGirl. BuDhaGirl Mindful Glamour®; is the first-ever, science-based contemplative and meditative fashion brand.
Through the BuDhaGirl platform, Jessica has piqued world-wide interest on many levels on topics that are globally important such as the concept of Wellness in Fashion, the concept of Extreme Gratitude, and her work on the creation and design of the Wellness Moonshot Calendar: A World Free of Preventable Disease. In 2020 she will launch: The BuDhaGirl Beauty and the Brain Symposium, bringing together lead scientists to validate the importance of beauty as art, music, taste, smell, and touch for an overall lifetime of wellbeing.
Jessica is married to Bill Jesse, they have two children, Charles and Sloane. She is Austrian and Mexican and grew up in various parts of Mexico and the US. She currently resides in University Park, Texas and Bainbridge Island, Washington. Her non-profit work past and present includes: The Center for BrainHealth at UT Dallas, Advisory Board; The Meadows School for the Arts at Southern Methodist University, Advisory Board; Chairman of the Dallas Opera Gala 2010, American Foundation for the Blind, Dallas Board; DaliaEmpower, Advisory Board; Global Wellness Institute Board Member.
