A New World of Ritual: BuDhaGirl Acquires ShanShan & Kumali to Form "The Zen Collective"
Mindfulness is the New Art de Vivre.
We are thrilled to announce a monumental step in our journey. BuDhaGirl has evolved into a global lifestyle holding company: The Zen Collective.
Founder and CEO Jessica Jesse has acquired two exquisite French jewelry lines—Kumali and SHANSHAN—uniting them under a shared vision of beauty, ritual, and mindful living. But what does this mean for our community?
What is the Zen Collective?
It is a purpose-led ecosystem of mindful brands.
The Zen Collective is not just a portfolio of companies; it is a destination. Jessica Jesse created it to redefine luxury not as status, but as well-being.
The Philosophy: "True luxury is well-being. It’s time. It’s freedom," says Jesse. The Collective exists to guide you toward a more grounded, intentional life.
The Meaning: "Zen" evokes peace, but it is not passive—it is the power to remain centered amidst the chaos. "Collective" honors the community and the shared energy of living mindfully together.
Expanding the Family: Kumali & SHANSHAN
We have welcomed two French jewelry lines into our circle.
Why Now? “BuDhaGirl reached a point in its evolution where expansion felt not only natural but necessary,” says Jesse. “The language of ritual, beauty, and mindful living transcends borders, cultures, and lifestyles.”
Meet Kumali: Tradition Meets Innovation
Tradition meets sustainable innovation.
Kumali will integrate directly as a collection within BuDhaGirl.
The Craft: Known for using gold leaf and recycled PVC tubing (similar to our beloved AWB®), Kumali brings a legacy of sacred adornment.
The Vibe: Sustainable, radiant, and deeply connected to ritual—perfect for the woman who values history and future-forward materials.
Meet SHANSHAN: Parisian Demi-Fine Art
Parisian chic with a soulful touch.
SHANSHAN will continue as a distinct Parisian house within the collective.
The Craft: Exquisite pieces crafted from brass with 18k gold inlay and a matte gold finish. Expect semi-precious stones like labradorite and cultured pearls.
The Vibe: Sophisticated, artistic, and rooted in the "art de vivre."
Spirit & Nest: A Sanctuary for Ritual
A physical space for the collective soul.
The Zen Collective is launching a retail concept called Spirit & Nest. The first prototype location has opened in Bainbridge Island, WA, serving as a sanctuary where jewelry, ritual, sustainability, and community come together.
